First books!

So, after packing up a storage unit, finishing up with work, attending a wedding, and starting summer school, I’ve had time to upload pictures. Get ready for a craft attack!

I’ll start with the first two books I made.

First book. Rubber duckie

They say in the book that you are supposed to use materials that aren’t too expensive because it’s your first one, so I used a Trader Joe’s card for the outside and paper from the Trader Joe’s bag on the inside, with some green yarn for the pamphlet stitch.

Opened up!

Once again the book. I'm proud

The next book I made was modeled after the business card holder book shown in
HOW TO MAKE BOOKS.

Once again I used some of a Trader Joe’s greeting card, green yarn, the bag from Trader Joe’s, and a piece of random yellow paper I found around the house. Because I tend to do things a bit overboard, I decided to make little instant books to go inside each of the pockets of the business card holder book.

Insides of book

I’ve written French messages in all the books for Craig when he goes to French camp.

And I’m thinking about actually making one as a business card holder.

Novel idea.

More books will be coming; one made for school, and two made as gifts, including one that is so awesome it may have to be split up into different posts.

Ok, until next time, CRAFT ON!
